Students have almost completed their model houses. These homes were planned and designed by the students to reflect geography, culture and climate. The student explained these connections in their written reflections. We are also making video clips of the construction process. The kids will upload the video clips and photos onto their Weebly digital portfolios while sharing a reflection of their learning.

2G and 2R worked together to create posters based on their Spelling sorts for our Words Their Way Spelling program. The students all needed to search through books to find more words which fit in with their sorts.
2G students created Keynote slideshows about the concept of "systems" and each group selected a specific body system to research and create a slideshow on for our Unit of Inquiry final assessment task. Her are some photos of the 2G students presenting their work to Grade 3 students. The Grade 3 students also shared some reflective feedback for our students. 2G student have been using dominoes to practice their addition and problem solving math skills. In one of these exercises students have to add up the dots on dominoes to equal the total the value of a given number. Or, in other exercises they need to display added dominoes which are less than or greater to a given number Once they complete an exercise, the students can move to higher levels. Below are some photos of these exercises: Grade 4 students came to 2G to read with a younger buddy for our school's shared reading program. The 2G students were highly engaged and enjoyed it immensely. Here are some pictures: Dear Grade 2 Families,
